I've always been a great fan of Mr pierce for his soulful voice and innovative musical mixing , quite honestly , the most popular existing space rock band ,The efforts of spaceman has made it possible for the genre to survive.
Talking about the record , It's one of the best records released this year along with storm corrosion , blunderbuss and valtari.

An hour long record , opens up with a pretty decent instrumental huh ? like with case of many spiritualized records.

Following up to that is the track hey jane , which was released by the band before the release of record on their official soundcloud account. I absolutely loved this track although the video which was released few weeks later caught up with a controversy.

The record builds up pretty well gradually from the starting few songs till Headin' for the top now (rightly titled so) like a joyride.
The resemblance to the classic spiritualized record "songs in A&E" is uncanny , however the vibe of this record is pretty positive unlike the former one ,
Overall the record is pretty nicely written and composed , and there's hardly an element of surprise
Iin terms of musical composition , It's like most of the spritualized records.
However most of the spiritualized records are amazing , so why change ? sounds like a fair deal
On an ending note , sweet heart and sweet light is a must listen record , If you are fan of space-rock / psychedelic centred music , you won't be disappointed ,
